After some number of months (10 I think) the program is officially over. I’m sad to hear it but I think the program payed the price for being too innovative. I think the reason it didn’t last was that there were too few die hard members. I can tell you that there were quite a few guys and gals who were having Zune events every single weekend. These were the guys that made the program as successful as it was. Unfortunately there were a few guys that ruined it for the rest of us.
Will the program be back? Maybe but not the same way it was. I really believe that a program that combines Zune and Xbox could be a massive success.
Here is the message from the Zune Masters site.
As you know, the Zune Masters program officially concluded at the end of June and we wanted to take this time to thank you for a fantastic job spreading the word about Zune and we hope you’ll continue to keep up-to-date on future Zune products and events via other Zune/Microsoft sites, like Zune.net or zuneinsider.com.
Thanks for being a part of Zune Masters!
Sincerely,
Zune Masters Staff

hope it comes back
I think that the program expectations were not stated clearly from the beginning. They made it sound like they would set up everything, and that all we had to do was be available for the events they would have everywhere. They only called me about 1 event. They did try to make it clear later that they wanted us to come up with the events, but that really should have been stated from the beginning. I wish that the program had been so much more successful and that it was better organized. I really hope it comes back in some way. If they could have something regionally that might be better.
